Made circa 1875, with less than 100 being produced. 2 line company address and patent dates on the left side of the barrel. Serial number on the right side of the barrel, and on the left inside of the frame. Half round, half octagon barrel with blade front sight. Nickel plated brass frame, with the balance being blued. Birds head butt and oil finished rosewood grips. Less than twenty of these are known. CONDITION: Metal retains 60% with the barrel turning to a mostly gray patina. The nickeled frame has some flaking, but remains strong for its age. Grips have minor handling marks and scratches. Bore is heavily frosted with some pitting. Good overall rifling retained. Trigger has to be pushed out for the hammer to be cocked. JWA
