Made circa 1860s, with less than 200 made in .22 Rimfire. No markings present. Matching serials on the barrel, inside of the left grip, in addition to being hand numbered in pencil on the inside of the right grip panel. Blued with most areas turning gray. Grip in shape similar to a "fishtail", with this model being labeled as such by collectors. Varnished rose wood grips. Only five of these are known in .22 caliber. CONDITION: Metal retains little of its original finish, with most areas forming a gray patina. Left grip panel is cracked, otherwise having light handling marks. Bore is heavily frosted with fair rifling. Tight hammer, being mechanically fine. JWA
