Made circa 1870s. "COLT" marked in large letters on the top of the barrel, and ".41 CAL" marked on the left side of the frame. Matching serials on the barrel, inside of the left grip strap and pencil marked on both grip panels. British Proofs are on the bottom of the barrel. Blade front sight, with standard swiveling barrel. Factory nickel finish on the frame, with the barrel being blued. Trigger and hammer are case colored. Varnished wood grips. CONDITION: Metal retains 80% of its original finishes with minor wear and scratches in areas. Grips are very good with minor handling marks. Bore is clean overall with strong overall rifling. Tight hammer, being mechanically fine. JWA
