Made circa 1870s. "COLT" marked in large letters on the top of the barrel, and ".41 CAL" marked on the left side of the frame. Matching serials on the barrel and inside of the left grip. Grip straps are hand etched "1869". Blade front sight, with standard swiveling barrel. Full factory nickel finish. Period pearl grips. CONDITION: Metal retains 60% of its original finish with heavy scratches and the finish beginning to flake in areas. Grips are slightly ill fitting but retain excellent condition. Bore is heavily frosted with good overall rifling. Tight hammer, being mechanically fine. JWA
