Lot consists of: (A) Hyde & Shattuck Queen single shot derringer. Made circa late 1870's. There is a faint "QUEEN" marked on the left side of the barrel. No sights on the half round, half octagon barrel. Frame is nickel plated brass, with the other components being blued. Oiled walnut grips. CONDITION: Metal components retain 50% of their original finishes with the frame retaining more of its nickel finish. The barrel is forming a dark gray patina. Grips are excellent with a few handling marks. Bore is heavily frosted, with little rifling visible. Tight hammer, being mechanically fine. (B) Hyde & Shattuck Queen single shot derringer. Made circa late 1870s. There is a "Keno" marked on the left side of the barrel. No sights on the half round, half octagon barrel. Frame is nickel plated brass, with the other components being blued. Oiled grips. CONDITION: Metal components retain 60% of their original finishes, with the barrel forming a gray patina. Frame has minor flaking. Grips have handling marks and wear. Bore is heavily frosted with fair rifling. Tight hammer being mechanically fine. JWA
