Made circa early 1870s, and sometimes called the "Baby Allen". Barrel is marked with "J.P.LOWER" on the barrel flat. Matching serials on the barrel and inside of the frame, in addition to the inside of the grips. Half round, half octagon barrel with no sights. Silver plated barrel that has turned blue, in addition to gold wash frame and trigger. Factory pearl grips. CONDITION: Metal components retain 75% of their finishes, with the barrel turning a dark gray and having some flaking on the left side. Frame retains more than 75%, with some light edge wear. Grips are excellent. Bore is heavily frosted, with no visible rifling. JWA
