Made circa early 1870s, and sometimes called the "Baby Allen". Barrel is unmarked. Matching serials on the barrel and inside of the frame. Half round, half octagon barrel with no sights. Fine scroll engraving on the barrel and frame, possibly being factory. Metal components are all gold washed over silver plating. Original varnished walnut grips. CONDITION: Metal retains 70% of its finish with general wear. Wood grips have handling marks and scratches. Bore is heavily frosted with light pitting. Most likely smoothbore. Hammer is tight, being mechanically fine. JWA
