Made circa 1880s, with a little over 3,000 produced. "838" stamped on the left side of the frame. "2646" marked on the bottom of the frame, trigger and right grip. Iron frame and barrel. Two part barrel with no sights. Gold washed finish, with later applied scroll engraving. Right grip is walnut, with the left being rosewood. CONDITION: Metal retains 70% of its finish, with general wear. Right grip is cracking around the screw insert. Smooth bore with heavy frosting. Mechanically operable. Hammer spring is weak. JWA
