Lot consist of: (A) Iver Johnson Hawkeye single shot derringer. Thought to have been made by Iver Johnson circa 1870, but maker is still unknown. The left side of the barrel is marked "HAWKEYE". No other markings. 2 part barrel with large brass bead sight (probably added later). Iron frame and barrel with a blued finish. Later production oiled walnut grips. CONDITION: Metal retains little of its finish, with a heavy gray patina forming. Grips are excellent. Bore is clean overall, with very good rifling retained. Tight hammer, being mechanically fine. (B) Hopkins & Allen single shot derringer blank pistol. Made circa 1870s. No markings, minus the serial number, which is matching on the interior of the grips. Round barrel with no sights. Iron frame, with once silver finish. Oiled walnut grips. CONDITION: Metal retains little of its finish, with most of the original finish lost. Grips have minor scratches. Bore is heavily frosted. Seems to be mechanically fine. JWA
