American Arms Co. Double Barrel derringer. Made circa 1870s. Unique design with rotating barrel. Front sight blade on both the top and bottom. The barrel is marked "AMERICAN ARMS CO. BSOTON MASS" on the top, with the patent dates on the bottom. Matching serials on the butt and on the inside of the right grip (hand penciled). Octagon barrel, being fluted in the middle. Barrel assembly is iron, with the frame being brass. Both are finished in a full, re-applied nickel. Rose wood grips. CONDITION: Metal retains 70% of its nickel finish. Grips have mild handling marks and a few scratches. Bores are frosted, with some pitting. Tight hammer, being mechanically fine. JWA
