Lot consists of (A) Bone knife from an Asiatic country, probably China. Knives like this were popular to sell to GIs to have a take-home souvenir. Carving on this example better than commonly seen in Chinese motifs, blade is a reproduction. CONDITION: Fair. Interior wood sheath is loose, blade has oxidation throughout. (B) Ethnographic Sami reindeer knife. Sheath made of 2 parts and decorated with incised geometrics and a vignette on left side of a reindeer pulling a villager on a sleigh; right side with cutouts in the form of hearts. Leather throat. Rough forged knife measures 2 - 5/8". CONDITION: Good. Some toning to bone throughout. Blade with some patination. EMW
