Meriden Arms Model 15 slide action rifle. Made circa 1910s. Top of the tang is marked "MERIDEN / MODEL 15". Company address and patent dates marked on the barrel in front of the rear sight. Takedown gun, with the takedown screw being replace with a model Allen head type. Octagon steel barrel with a replacement copper sight. U-notch rear looks to be original. Original blued finish. Wood stock and forearm have been sanded and lacquered. Crescent metal butt plate. CONDITION: Metal retains little of its original finishes with most areas forming an even gray patina. Stock has handling marks and scratches. Bore is frosted with fair rifling. There is a ring about 3" in from the muzzle. Seems mechanically fine. JWA
