1863 vintage Colt 1851 Navy single action percussion revolver, serial number 150051. 7 - 12" octagon barrel in .36 caliber with cone front sight and hammer notch rear. 1 piece plain walnut grips. Matching serial numbers observed on rammer, barrel, wedge, cylinder, cylinder arbor, frame, trigger guard, and butt. CONDITION: Very good as cleaned with iron assemblies turned a homogenous dove-gray patina with scattered light handling marks and markings crisp. Brass components have been cleaned, but are returning to a pleasing mellow patina. Grips are strong with handling marks but no major signs of distress. Mechanically fine. Bore is frosted with moderate abrasion from period use with corrosive black powder and crisp rifling. PROVENANCE: Roger Bender Collection. TON
