Made early 1980s. Top of the barrel is marked with the New York City address. "The Colt Heritage Commemorative" is engraved in gold on the left side of the barrel assembly, while the right has gold etchings of Samuel Walker and Samuel Colt. Markings imitate a gun from company "C". Both sides of the grip are marked with U.S. style inspector marks. Matching serials throughout. Cylinder has its standard engraved scene. Original blued finish on the barrel, cylinder. Loading lever, frame and hammer are case colored. Brass grip straps. Walnut grip has a light oil finish. Includes original green velvet lined wood display case and the original serial matching book, "The Colt Heritage" by R.L. Wilson. Case includes 2 keys. CONDITION: Metal components retain 98% of its original finishes with little signs of used. Grips are excellent. Bore is shiny with crisp rifling. Unfired from the factory. Tight hammer and cylinder. Mechanically fine. Case and book are very good with light handling marks. PROVENANCE: Roger Bender Collection. JWA
