1977 vintage Colt 2nd generation 1851 Navy percussion revolver, serial number 23071. 7 - 1/2" octagon barrel in .36 caliber with cone front sight and hammer notch rear. 1 piece plain walnut grips. Comes with Styrofoam factory box insert. CONDITION: Excellent plus, with virtually all of the original bluing remaining. Cylinder scene is crisp, with cylinder having a ghost of a dragline. Frame retains bright case colors. Grips are in matching condition with no major signs of distress. Backstrap and trigger guard are very good with silver plating having darkened over time and light wear throughout. Action is tight and crisp. Bore is bright with sharp rifling.
