German World War II Tank Destruction Badge awarded for the single-handed destruction of an enemy tank by an individual. Blackened bronze tank is secured to a back plate via 3 prongs, through a woven aluminum thread strip which is folded over the back plate, with a field-gray wool backing. Bronze tank exhibits green patina, with very light wear to the strip and the wool backing. Badge brought back by a US Army veteran who served in Germany during the 1970s-1980s.
