World War II M1910A1 Artillery Spotting Scope with leather case. The spotting scope retains its original specification plate and is dated 1940. This example also retains an original US Navy Naval Ordnance Laboratory label. The eye piece is marked "15X". The spotting scope is constructed of brass and is painted OD green. Contained in its original leather and wood carry case. CONDITION: The spotting scope retains most of its original green paint with areas of scuffs and scratches. Optic is cloudy and is heavily scratched, however the crosshairs are still visible. Adjustments function, but are stiff and require a bit of work to get moving. The leather case is warped, exhibits scattered scuffs and tarnishing, and features a modern pair of replacement straps. Overall good. JLD
