Named USMC pre-WW2 medal lot with period correct corresponding ribbon bar. Lot includes a named and government engraved Marine Corps Good Conduct medal with 3 enlistment bars. Named to: "MAX O. RICHTER, No. 18160, 1920-1922". Multiple award bars are also engraved on the reverse with his service number and dates of awarding period. Marine Corps Expeditionary Medal with spilt wrap brooch, rim numbered M. No. 7049 and full wrapped brooch Marine Corps Yangtze Service Medal M. No. 1333. A rifle and pistol N.S. Meyer shooting badge, an honorable discharge button, and a named 11th Naval District gold bowling medal stamped by the jeweler "JESSOP". Cursory research shows that Richter was assigned to the Marine Barracks, Naval Ammunition Depot, Puget Sound, Washington, and made it to the Far East with the 62nd Company, Marine Detachment, American Legation, Peiping, China. CONDITION: All medals display nice patina with solid original ribbons and brooches. PROVENANCE: Roger Bender Collection. BRM.
