1870s - 1880s rectangular format tintype image of an armed miner holding a pick and shovel. He is wearing a large brimmed western style hat, and on his cartridge belt is a Merwin & Hulbert large framed revolver. Wonderful clarity and subject matter. CONDITION: Some very light scratches to image that are barely discernible, and small black chip near the shovel.
