Woodsman pistol manufactured by Colt in 1939. The left side of the receiver is stamped "THE WOODSMAN", with the slide being stamped "COLT" followed by the caliber designation as well as the Rampant Colt logo. Metal components are blued, with the frame being mounted with 2-piece checkered walnut grips. Features include a 6 - 1/2" barrel, partridge front sight, and an adjustable square notch rear sight. Pistol is accompanied by an original factory box exhibiting a matching handwritten serial number on the bottom and containing an original Colt Woodsman manual. CONDITION: Excellent, with metal components retaining bountiful amounts of their original factory applied blue finish, exhibiting some light wear at either end of the muzzle as well as a couple of very small spots of cleaned oxidation on the right hand side of the frame. Mirror bore, exhibiting well defined lands and grooves throughout. Grips show some light smoothing and a couple of nicks to the diamonds, but are otherwise fine. Box exhibits exterior wear, some taped repairs, and losses to the end labels, but is otherwise sturdy and serviceable. A very attractive and high condition Colt Woodsman. MLW
