Kentucky Style Fowler signed in script "J. WALKER", who consignor has old receipt attributing this gun to John Walker, who worked in Lancaster, Pennsylvania from 1802-1807. 48" half round smoothbore .56 caliber barrel with fowler style brass bead front sight. Gun has original flint lock plate converted to percussion with unique flying bees behind hammer with single trigger control. Walnut full stock with fowler style brass hardware and original hardwood ramrod. CONDITION: Overall good with metal showing an aged brown patina. Wood has traces of original finish with worn carry areas and several stress cracks and slivers missing along forestock. Some burnout around lock. Pitted barrel with functioning mechanics. DLM
