1 of only 10,000 Model 1903 semi-automatic pistol manufactured by Fabrique Nationale under contract for the Swedish government. Accepted into service in Swedish service in 1907 and given the designation M1907, FN deliveries of the Model 1903 continued until the German occupation of Belgium in 1914, with the bulk of M1907 pistols being produced by Husqvarna starting in 1917. The left side of the slide is stamped "FABRIQUE-NATIONALE-D'ARMES de GUERRE. HERTSAL-BELGIQUE/ BROWNING's PATENT DEPOSE" above several Belgian proofs, with additional Belgian proofs stamped on the left side of the frame, as well as Swedish proofs on either side of the trigger guard web. The rear of the frame bears a Swedish crown above "H.-C." and "C.-J." inspectors stamps for Hylten-Cavallius and Carl Edward Johansson respectively. Metal components are blued, while the frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered black plastic grips embossed with an "FN" logo at the top. Matching numbers are present on the frame, spacer, hammer, slide, barrel bushing, as well as the grips. This example is accompanied by a brown leather Swedish holster. CONDITION: Metal components retain the vast majority of their original factory applied blue finish, exhibiting some concentrated spots of light wear showing through to gray and brown patina, some scattered nicks and marks overall from handling and storage, as well as a small spot of cleaned oxidation on the left hand side of the slide. Mirror bore, exhibiting well defined lands and grooves throughout. Grips show some light smoothing and few minor handling marks overall. Holster is en suite, with the leather still malleable and exhibiting some scattered marks from handling and storage. An excellent example of a Fabrique Nationale manufactured Swedish contract Model 1903 pistol.
