Lot consists of (A) High quality scale model of a Civil War black powder cannon with a lathe turned metal barrel. The Model 1857 12-Pounder Napoleon Field Gun, officially called the “light 12-pounder gun” by the United States Army, was the most popular smoothbore cannon used during the American Civil War. This scale model is accurate down to the smallest details and includes a rammer, sponge, and hand spike. (B) Small bronze statue of a World War I Italian mountain troop on wood base firing his rifle through a "trench plate" shield. The Alpini are a specialized mountain warfare infantry corps of the Italian Army, which distinguished itself in World War I fighting in the Alps against Austro-Hungarian Kaiserjäger and the German Alpenkorps. CONDITION: Cannon is excellent and shows only slight handling wear. Bronze statue is secure to base and shows no cracks or damage. BRM.
