1964 vintage Colt Single Action Army Colonel Samuel Colt Sesquicentennial commemorative revolver with case commemorating what would have been Colt's 150th birth year. 7 - 1/2" round barrel chambered in .45 Colt with blade front sight and frame notch rear. Blued barrel and frame with hammer, cylinder, action screws, trigger guard, and backstrap polished bright. Single line barrel address with left of barrel marked "1814 - COL. SAML COLT SESQUICENTENNIAL MODEL - 1964". Cylinder is roll die engraved with "COL. SAML COLT." / "1814 - 1964" in a rectangular border with floral scroll around a Rampant Colt on one side and a Paterson revolver on the other. 2 piece wooden factory grips featuring a Rampant Colt on either side in a medallion. Complete with factory hard case with plaque at top reading "- One of 5000 -" / "COLONEL SAML COLT" / "SESQUICENTENNIAL MODELS" / "- 1814 - 1964-". Interior of case is maroon velvet lined with Colonel Samuel Colt portrait medallion, wooden ammunition block holding 12 .45 Colt cartridges, and "The Arms Collection of Colonel Colt" by R.L. Wilson on interior of lid. CONDITION: Excellent plus and near mint, with virtually all of the original finishes remaining. Grips are in matching condition with no major signs of distress. Cylinder has the beginning of a dragline, but dragline does not go all the way around. Bore is bright with sharp rifling, possibly unfired. Cylinder appears to be unfired. Box is very good with minor handling marks. TON
