Mannlicher Model 1905 manufactured by Steyr under contract for Argentinian military. The left side of the lower assembly is stamped "SYSTEM/ MANNLICHER/ Md.1905/ WAFFENFABRIK/ STEYR", while the right side has had its Argentinian crest ground off. Top of rear grip strap spur is stamped with an encircled "RA". Major metal components are blued, with some smaller components being in-the-white. Frame is mounted with 2-piece serrated wood grips. Matching serial number "5878" is present on the lower assembly, barrel, as well as on the chamber. CONDITION: Metal components retain the majority of their arsenal blue finish, exhibiting scattered marks from handling and storage, as well as some areas of inactive oxidation overall. Bore is good, exhibiting scattered spots of oxidation and retaining strong rifling throughout. Internal components are coated in a thick layer of what appears to be arsenal grease. Grips show wear from handling and some scattered handling marks, but are otherwise fine. MLW
