Standard configuration P.08 manufactured by DWM during the Great War. The top of the receiver bares "1916" over the chamber, with arsenal proofs on the right. Toggle bears DWMs intertwined monogram. Front grip strap is double "JR" unit marked, indicating issue to 2 infantry regiments. Major metal components are blued, with some smaller components being strawed and nitre blued. Frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered walnut grips. All numbers are matching, with the exception of the magazine, which is mismatched. Metal components retain the majority of their period arsenal blue finish, exhibiting mild thinning and wear, as well as scattered areas of surface oxidation overall. Strawed components exhibit wear overall, with worn areas exhibiting spots of age related oxidation. Very bright bore, exhibiting some very light surface oxidation and retaining strong rifling throughout. Grips show some scattered impressions and nicks to the diamonds, with the right grip panel exhibiting a repair at the top. MLW
