Manufactured in 1914 for martial use. Reapplied polished blue finish throughout. Replacement ramped front sight and adjustable square notch rear. Slide marked on left with patent information, last date being 1913. Right of slide bears "MODEL OF 1911. U.S. ARMY". Replacement 5" barrel chambered in .45 ACP. Left side of frame bears "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" mark and "WGP" Penfield inspector mark. Grips are truncated diamond checkered walnut. Complete with 1 military finished magazine marked "R" at toe. CONDITION: Very good as restored. Nearly all of the reapplied finish is retained, showing some light wear. Grips show some period wear and impressions. Good bore and mechanics. BAS
