Single Action Army manufactured by Colt in 1912. The left side of the barrel is stamped "COLT SINGLE ACTION ARMY .38 SPECIAL", with Colt's single line address across the top. The left side of the frame bears patent information followed by the encircled Rampant Colt logo. Frame and hammer are in-the-white, while the hammer has been jeweled. Barrel, cylinder, and grip straps are blued. Barrel and cylinder are later replacements, with the cylinder bearing the Rampant Colt logo on the rear face. Frame is mounted with 2-piece smooth ivory grips. Matching numbers are present on the frame, trigger guard, and butt. CONDITION: Metal components retain ample amounts of their reapplied blue finish, exhibiting some scattered areas of light surface oxidation overall. Frame exhibits some spots of age related discoloration and a few small spots of mild pitting, but is otherwise very good. Mirror bore, exhibiting well-defined rifling throughout. Grips show a few minor marks from handling an storage, but are otherwise fine. MLW
