SSP. An extremely scarce piece of Circa 1930's Shell Gasoline Porcelain Signage with less than five known examples. Considered to be one of the Holy Grails of Shell Porcelain Signage as well as one of the most highly sought after Pump Plates of any brand, this Shell Ethyl Gasoline "Eight Ball" Porcelain Pump Plate is one of the finest known examples of very few to exist. This piece shows excellent Shell Gasoline colors as well as a very unique die-cut shape. CONDITION: Sign is in overall outstanding condition throughout showing excellent color & gloss with chip free fields of both sections of the sign with excellent shelving between each color. Sign shows a few very light areas of surface scratch in the field of the Shell portion but overall excellent throughout. Sign shows one small chip at the stress area of the middle left where the two portions of the sign meet as well as some very minimal nicks at the middle lower mounting hole. The outer edges are in outstanding condition throughout the entire piece and overall the piece displays outstanding. With very few known this is one of the finest examples and one of very few chances to obtain one of these beautiful and elusive rarities from Shell Ethyl Gasoline.
