DSP. What an incredible example of this Circa 1920's Porcelain Visible Pump Paddle Sign from Shell Gasoline showing the early and detailed, "Fluted Shell" graphic. This piece is by far the highest grade example we have sold and most likely the best known example of this beautiful piece of early Shell Gasoline Signage. CONDITION: Side one is in simply incredible condition showing outstanding color & gloss throughout the field as well as an immaculate paddle arm. Side one shows some minimal factory pitting and an immaculate outer edge, Grade 9.5+. Side two is also in outstanding condition showing incredible color & gloss throughout the field with a couple of light age stain marks in the field as well as some factory pitting. Side two shows one light nick at the paddle mounting hole as well as some very minimal outer edge wear at the right but overall outstanding as well, Grade 9.25+. This piece is very early and shows excellent heavy shelving between the colors as well as unique porcelain bubble markings from the thick enamel. A near impossible to upgrade piece of beautiful and early Shell Gasoline Porcelain Signage.
