DSP. A bright and glossy example of this scarce Circa 1930's Porcelain Service Station Sign from Veltex Gasoline & Motor Oils. Sign shows Veltex script as well as large "V" graphic throughout both sides with unique orange and blue colors. CONDITION: Side one shows excellent color and gloss throughout the field with excellent shelving between each color and clean script. Side one shows approximately eight smaller sized chips in the field as well as minor areas of chipping at the outer edge mounting holes. Side one shows one small nail hole at the top center edge which shows a moderately sized chip around it but overall side one displays very well, Grade 8.5+. Side two also shows excellent color & gloss throughout the field with minimal areas of cloudiness and light surface scratching as well as seven small areas of chipping in the inner field. Side two shows three areas of chipping in the outer field as well as minimal chipping at the outer edge mounting holes. Overall side two displays well, Grade 8.25. A very nice displaying example overall of this scarce Porcelain Service Station Sign from Veltex.
