DSP. Sign is maker-marked Walker & Co. Excellent c. 1940's porcelain sign showing "Packard Approved Service" in unique script with red, white & blue colors. CONDITION: Side one shows outstanding color & gloss throughout the field showing clean Packard script and excellent "Approved Service" lettering. Side one shows a couple of minimal surface scratches in the field with one factory blemish in the "D" of "Packard." The outer edge shows one added hole at the outer left edge, which shows some chipping while the remaining outer edge is very clean, Grade 8.9+. Side two shows very good color throughout the chip free field, but shows some moderate dullness and scratching mostly in the white porcelain which appears to be from excessive cleaning. The outer edge is very clean showing some minor chipping with light chipping at the mounting holes. A nice displaying example of Packard advertising.
