DST. Sign is Maker Marked American Art Works, Coshocton, Ohio. An outstanding example of this iconic Circa 1930's Tin Flange Sign from Shell Gasoline and one of the finest examples of this Sign we have ever sold. CONDITION: Side one is in outstanding condition throughout showing incredible color & gloss with only a couple of very minimal blemishes and light areas of faint paper markings. The outer field and edges are in outstanding condition as well and overall side one displays outstanding, Grade 9.0+. Side two also shows incredible color & gloss throughout with only a couple of very faint surface scratches as well as some very minimal paper markings in the "AS" of Gasoline. The outer edge is in outstanding condition showing only minimal storage wear, Grade 9.0+. The flange portion of the sign is also in outstanding condition showing just a couple of very minor nicks in the paint but nothing distracting. This is one of the nicest New Old Stock examples of this Sign we have ever sold with no heavy storage wear or paper markings noted. A beautiful displaying example of this iconic Sign from Shell.
