Standard configuration P.38 manufactured by Walther in 1944. The left side of the slide is stamped "P.38" followed by the serial number and "ac 44", with the right side bearing a standard Walther "(Eagle) / 359" waffenamts and a firing proof. Metal components are salt blued, with the frame being mounted with 2-piece brown pressed resin grips. Matching numbers are present on the frame, slide, barrel and locking block. CONDITION: Metal components retain large amounts of their original arsenal applied blue finish, exhibiting scattered areas of wear and thinning showing through to gray patina overall. Bright bore, exhibiting some spots of oxidation towards the muzzle, and retaining strong rifling throughout. Grips show some scattered nicks and marks from storage and handling, but are otherwise fine. MLW
