Classic Civil War repeating carbine manufactured from 1863 to 1865. Standard 22" blued barrel chambered in .56-56 rimfire with ladder sight. Case hardened repeating lever action marked with 3 line Spencer address with 1860 patent date. Plain walnut stock mounted with saddle ring and bar, rear swivel, and iron butt plate designed to accept the 7-round tube magazines used to feed the rifle. Matching walnut forend retained by a single barrel band. CONDITION: Very good displaying a cleaned silvery patina. Markings faint. Stocks likewise have been cleaned, still showing some period impressions and some lightly carved letters. Fine bore and mechanics. BAS
