SSP. Sign is Maker Marked Burdick & Dated 1931. An absolutely outstanding condition piece from Shell Oil Company and most likely the finest known example of this early Porcelain Sign. Sign shows iconic red & yellow Shell colors with a large Clamshell graphic in the center. CONDITION: Sign is in absolutely outstanding condition showing excellent color & gloss throughout the field with no chipping whatsoever in the inner or outer fields as well as along the outer edge. Sign shows only a few minor areas of light surface scratch but nothing noteworthy. Sign shows all of its grommets along the outer edge and overall is practically impossible to improve upon. An incredible condition piece of early Shell Porcelain Signage.
