SST. Sign is Maker Marked A.M. & Dated 1939. An incredibly clean example of this rare and seldom seen Tin Vertical Service Station Sign from Oilzum Motor Oils & Lubricants. Sign features bold Oilzum script as well as an iconic "Oswald The Driver" graphic at the top side. Sign features it's original wood frame it is one of the finest examples we have ever sold. CONDITION: Sign shows outstanding color and gloss throughout the field with super clean lettering free of any major wear. Side one shows one area of scratching in Oswald's Cap as well as some light surface rubs and scratches in the black tin of the outer field. Sign shows its original wood frame with excellent condition original black paint as well as metal corner tabs. The paint is in excellent condition showing a great age and patina and the wooden backing is also in outstanding condition as well showing only light age wear. Overall the Sign is bright and glossy and displays extremely well. Overall a very clean example of this seldom seen piece of advertising from one of Motor Oils most highly sought after brands.
