SSP. Sign is Dated 1947. An absolutely incredible example of this beautiful and eye-appealing Porcelain Sign from Texaco Marine Lubricants, one of the most sought after Signs in all of Gas & Oil advertising. This beautiful piece shows outstanding Texaco Star graphics as well as large boating scene with various Watercraft as well as birds flying at the top side. CONDITION: This iconic piece from Texaco is most likely New Old Stock and was never used showing an absolutely immaculate graphic field. Sign is in overall outstanding condition throughout the field showing incredible color and gloss as well as outstanding lettering and graphics. All of the lower Boating scene graphics are in excellent condition as well as the Bird graphics at the top side. The field is free of any chipping or surface wear and is in near immaculate. The outer edge shows three light nicks but the remaining edge is absolutely immaculate and the Sign shows all four of its original grommets. An absolutely outstanding piece of advertising from Texaco and one of the best condition examples of this most iconic sign we have ever sold.
