DST. Sign is Maker Marked American Art Works & Dated 1936. A wonderful example of this rare and highly sought after die cut Tin Triangle Sign from Coca Cola showing Coca Cola Bottle graphic with script as well as ornate die cut edges and marquee topper. CONDITION: Side one shows excellent color and gloss throughout the field with some minor areas of faint surface scratch in the gloss of the field as well as a few minor areas of light staining in the lighter colors. The outer edge shows some minor rust wear at the top right corner as well as some light staining at the marquee topper portion. Overall side one displays outstanding, Grade 8.9+. Side two is also in outstanding condition showing bright colors with excellent gloss and only a minor amount of faint and superficial surface wear in the field. Side one shows minor areas of light wear along the outer edge with some minor paint loss at the left upper edge. The top marquee portion shows some minor brown staining but overall displays incredibly well with bright and glossy colors, Grade 8.9+. Sign is mounted on the original iron bracket that displays the sign incredibly well and has been repainted in dark green. Overall an excellent example of this ornate and highly sought-after piece of early Coca-Cola advertising.
