Essentially a parkerized K-frame M&P .38 revolver, the Victory Model with "V" prefix serial number was produced as a secondary sidearm during WWII largely for Navy use. This example bears a "U.S. PROPERTY G.H.D" mark on frame, indicating procurement under Army Ordnance. Standard pinned 4" round barrel chambered in .38 Special with 2-line address, "SMITH & WESSON" marking, and caliber designation. Half moon front aight and frame notch rear. 6-shot fluted cylinder set in square butt frame with "S&W" monogram on right side. Standard 2-piece smooth walnut grips and lanyard loop on butt. Complete with civilian leather holster. CONDITION: Very good retaining the majority of its factory finishes, showing some wear, especially on cylinder. Grips are good with some impressions.
