DST. An incredible New Old Stock example of this iconic 1920's Tin Flange Sign from Hood's Ice Cream showing a beautiful Tin Lithograph Cow on each side. Sign shows bold script in the outer field as well as Hood colors. CONDITION: Side one is in outstanding condition throughout the field showing An excellent condition Cow graphic as well as bold Hood Ice Cream print. Side one shows very minimal surface scratching as well as one light area of paper rub at the left side of the graphic. Side one shows some very minimal outer edge wear but overall outstanding, Grade 9.0+. Side two is also in outstanding condition showing excellent color and gloss throughout the field with very minimal surface scratching. Side two shows some light brown stain from wax paper in the lighter colors as well as some very minor areas of cloudiness in the gloss due to sitting in paper but overall outstanding. Side two shows some very minor paint wear at the outer edge near the flange but overall outstanding. Grade 8.75. The flange portion shows minor scratching and light wear at the mounting holes but is straight and overall very clean. One of the finest examples of this sign that we have ever sold and a remarkable time capsule like piece of early Hood Ice Cream Advertising.
