SST. Sign is Maker Marked Stout Sign Co., St. Louis, Missouri. An excellent example of this very rare and tough to find Tin Sign from Hood Tires showing a large Hood Flagman graphic as well as its original wood frame & backing. Sign shows an address on the backside to Skelly Oil Co., Kansas City, Missouri. CONDITION: Sign is in overall excellent condition throughout showing excellent color & gloss with a large & clean Flagman graphic. Sign shows a few minor areas of light surface scratching as well as one light paint nick in the belt of the graphic. Sign shows a clean outer field showing just a few light areas of paint scratching and paint nicks, none of which are overly distracting and the white background shows some very minimal brown staining. Sign shows its original wood framing which shows a large majority of its original silver paint showing only minor age wear with an excellent patina type look to it. The wood backing is also in excellent condition and the piece lays flat and straight. A beautiful example of this scarce piece of advertising from Hood Tires.
