Hi Power Mk.I* pistol manufactured by Inglis in Canada under contract for the Chinese Nationalist government during the mid-1940s. The left side of the slide is stamped "MK.I*" over "BROWNING FN 9MM. HP INGLIS CANADA". Right side of frame, slide, and barrel bear matching serial numbers "5CH427", with the "5" and "CH" prefix indicating that this example was manufactured as part of the 5th series of Mk.I* pistols for the Chinese Nationalist government. Metal components have been reparkerized at one point in time, with some proofs and stampings partially washed out. Grips have been replaced with Hogue textured black rubber grips. CONDITION: Very good, as refinished, with metal components retaining the majority of their parkerized finish, exhibiting areas of edge wear overall showing through to dull silvering, as well as some small spots of mild pitting present beneath the finish. Good bore, exhibiting moderate pitting and strong rifling throughout. Hogue black rubber grips are very good overall. MLW
