Manufactured in Belgium by August Francotte with 6" octagon barrel in .450 with blade front sight and notch rear sight. Bright English blue finish with rammer assembly, center pin, trigger, and hammer polished bright. 1-piece replacement walnut grips. Complete with green lined partitioned oak case with medallion on outside surface of lid (no inscription), Francotte retailer label, ebony handled turnscrew and nipple wrench, a bag powder flask, bullet mold, oiler, lead projectiles, tin of nipples, tin of caps, and cleaning rod. CONDITION: Very good, with an attractive amount of high polish original bluing remaining with light freckling and wear at high edges. Replacement grips show no major signs of distress. Action needs some attention as cylinder does not advance a full chamber length forward when hammer is pulled rearward in single or double action. Bore is bright with sharp rifling and areas of abrasion throughout. Case is good, with heavy handling marks and slight delamination to edges. Inside of case lid has been relined and label appears to be a reproduction.
