Standard configuration P.38 manufactured by Mauser in 1944. The left side of the slide is stamped "P.38" followed by "byf/44" and the serial number, with the right side bearing "(Eagle) / WaA135" waffenamts on either side of an eagle firing proof. Metal components are salt blued, while the frame is mounted with 2-piece brown pressed resin grips. All numbers are matching and include the frame, slide, barrel, and locking block. CONDITION: Metal components retain the vast majority of their original arsenal applied blue finish, exhibiting some mild wear on some edges and a few minor superficial marks from handling and storage overall. Bore is bright, exhibiting some light surface oxidation on the lands and grooves, and retains well defined rifling throughout. Grips are very good overall. MLW
