Western Plains style percussion halfstock rifle made by Slotter and Company in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, with retailer marks for "A.J. PLATE / SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA". 30- 1/4" heavy octagonal .50 caliber gain twist rifled barrel with Rocky Mountain sights and Slotter and Plate stamping. "Slotter / Phila" marked engraved back action lock with double set triggers. Checkered walnut half stock with iron hardware, 4 German sliver inlays and nosecap. Comes with hardwood ramrod. CONDITION: Overall good with normal usage wear and tear and dings. Shootable bore with good mechanics. DLM
