Approximately 2,000 .41 rimfire cut-and-shoot pistols were produced by Frank Wesson from 1868 to 1880. These pistols feature 2 superposed octagon barrels each with their own German silver half moon front sight and 1-line address that are manually rotated to load and to move into the firing position. A 1 - 1/2" retractable dirk blade is housed between the 2 barrels. Barrels are mounted to a bronze spur trigger frame with 2-piece smooth rosewood bird's head grips. Both grip panels are stamped inside with matching "502" serial number. CONDITION: Very good overall. Frame displays a mellow, dark mustard patina, with barrels also exhibiting a soft, brown gray patina. Grips are good with some impressions and light finish loss. Mechanically fine. Bores are dark but shootable. BAS
