U.S. Model 1917 Enfield with receiver made by Eddystone in October of 1917, subsequently refitted for World War II with a "HS" marked barrel, which is High Standard. Date is undecipherable. Barrel has "R" marked front sight and "R" marked bolt with "E" marked rear sight. Full military walnut stock marked on left hand side in block "3GM-K" with encircled "P" grip stamp. Front band in marked with a "W", middle is unmarked as is end of stock. Comes with illegibly marked period leather sling. CONDITION: Overall good with metal having some light surface pitting. Wood is oil soaked with no visible cracks or repairs. Shootable bore with ME of 1 and good mechanics. DLM
