English external hammer side by side 10 gauge shotgun made by W&C Scott, London, circa 1877. This is marked as a Premier Quality gun on rib and marked as made for "B. Kittredge & Company Cincinnati, Ohio". Damascus twist steel 29- 3/4"" barrels with maker address and grade marked concave smooth rib, extractors, and top opening lever. Floral vignette lightly engraved case hardened action, hammers, and trigger guard protecting double triggers. Figured checkered walnut pistol grip stock with hard rubber buttplate, engraved steel furniture, and matching checkered walnut forearm with push button release. CONDITION: Barrels have been cleaned exposing very nice Damascus pattern. Small dings in right barrel. Action has traces of case colors with balance fading to a silvery finish. Wood has dark hand rubbed finish with some light handling marks and dings. Good bores with excellent mechanics. DLM
