English external hammer 12 gauge shotgun made by Thomas Turner, Birmingham circa 1884 - 1887. Blued steel 28" barrels with smooth concave rib, extractors, and trigger guard side opening lever. Lightly engraved borderline pattern case hardened back action locks with external safety mechanisms, hammers, and trigger guard with double triggers. Figured checkered walnut pistol grip stock with added Silver's type rubber recoil pad, engraved steel furniture, and matching checkered walnut forearm with friction release. CONDITION: Barrels have 98% of what looks to be original blue. Action has traces of original finish with carry areas wearing to a silvery patina. Wood has original hand rubbed finish with a pleasing shine and added recoil pad. Good bores with excellent mechanics. A great looking gun. DLM
